I have finally found a working source/repo that adds NES ROMs on 1.1.3 and 1.1.4. The best thing is that is uses the new version of installer, so this means no more “No NES ROMs were found. Please upload ROMs to /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES”! Besides NES ROMs is also adds some cool themes and custom keyboards as well.
The source is currently up and running, but it does go down at times. So if it isn’t working for you, please be patient and try it again a little later on.

I hope this finally helps all of you out there who have been having problems getting the NES ROMs in the right place. Please post here if this works for you. If you have any problems please post them here as well.

When I downloaded the Resurrection ICS Rom and the rtelaed google apps & google apps fixer via my GS2 (ROOTED via NEW method GT I-9100) browser they did not find their way to a root folder, but instead ended up in a download folder on my EXTERNAL SD card. I’m guessing this is why CWM did not find the files when I attempted to choose zip from sdcard . I attempted to create a rootfolder file on my GS2, but according to my laptop this folder was created on the phone’s internal sd storage and not on the external SD card. Based on various Android forums I’ve perused and this site I’ve concluded that the external sd card is the correct location for the root folder. Am I correct? If so, how do I get the 3 zipfiles into a rootfolder file on the external sd-card so that they can be found by CWM? Will that solve my problem(s)? One last question: would I have fewer hassles if I just downloaded the Rom Manager from Android Market to flash new roms. I’ve heard various pros & cons.

Hiya Max , ive tried the HyDrOG3N and Resurection roms on my GS2 I 9100 and both get to the bootscreen and then just hang .. im ruinng the the samsung official update at the minuet with the Siyah kerrnal and i did the update via the dual boot method, only good thing i was able to get my working rom back without any messing have to install all my backs . Do you have any idea as to why it might hang on the boot up ? On the dual boot it allows me to boot into the secondary rom without any problems its only when i try to load the primary with the custom roms that i get problems Any help would be appreciated Max .Paul

I also have some wifi problems on the Defy, and CM7 didn’t fix it. It concnets and works great, for about 10 min. If I stop using the phone for 5 to 10 min, let it time out and then turn the screen back on, it will still say it’s connected to the net, but it has logged me out of chat, and won’t load anything until I reset the wifi. Sounds like what you described, but mine does work, and then times out. Anyone know if this work around described here will fix my Defy? Will it work if I have CyanogenMod on it?

Sorry about before, but i installed the roms (it took a little time becuase i had about 2 bars of wifi). it finished up and then i went to my homescreen, got the loading circle and it kept doing this. For fear of my wallpaper image buring into the lcd i restored it. i just restored it about 2 days ago and had finally gotten mail and youtube to work. Now im doing it all over agian. Awesome!

Ope, which jailbreaking method have you been using? I found that ZiPhone 2.6b worked very well. Then I just added the repo to install the iphone apps and everything worked great. Took about 5 minutes for the whole process.

Okay, so, I typed the link (Touchrevolution…blahblahblah) into my ipod and i went to revsources. Also, I downloaded the WinSCP thing, so that I could organize my ipod. It’s jailbroken with Ziphone and it’s 1.1.4 8gb. I went onto the WINSCP and I went into media (on the computer) and i added a new directory(folder) called ROMS. I kinda thought maybe that was how I was supposed to do it, but I have NO clue!!!

A computer starts somewhere. It starts with a bios and a CPU and a motherboard ect… When we code that computer to pump out a random number, what makes it pick the number it picks? Exactly the same computer sits beside it’s identical and they both pick different 1st random numbers. Is the Bios fed a seed during construction and every new bios gets a different seed? Those of us that have worked with random numbers know what a seed is. So why does my computer give a number between 100 and 1000 as 756, but yours gives, 537? Is that not a form of intelligence beyond that of artificial? We gave the computer the ability to give random numbers, but what makes it give or pick that random number when in reality it has no ‘will’ to decide. Why 3 and not 4, when it favours nothing? Even with a seed, what makes it choose 5 with this seed but 7 with that seed? Where in the ruels of life does it say that, with this seed equaling 756395837 in that computer, 1st random # will be this?.

I have written several articles and posted them on internet article directories. All directories I have posted on state that if others wish to use the article they must place the author’s link/s along with the article. I have found a website that used my article and did not give me any credit (including adding my name). Is there anything I can do about this?.

Using “Capability Manager” I have allowed contributors to upload media to the media library of my wordpress website.. . At the moment, however, they can still see the uploads that have been submitted by other users.. . I need to be able to moderate the uploads, so if everyone can see them before I do, it defeats the object!. . I know I want to build my own computer for college. But the only brand that I know of that does build computers to your specification is Dell. However, I’m pretty sure that there is another top of the line brand that lets you build your own computer. I want to blog about issues I don’t want associating with my ‘work’ self. I like Facebook, but I hate that their notes section isn’t as appealing as MySpace’s blogs. I need a computer program that will automatically start another program and not let that program close for a work computer.
