In case you are still on the fence (or a little confused) about the new iPhone 4s/iPad 2 untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1/5.0 on A5 devices this post is for you. I have been running the jailbreak on my iPhone 4s since the day it has been released and I must say it is very stable and that I am very happy with it. The only issue I had the first time on attempting the jailbreak was that I was stuck at “beginning jailbreak, this may take a while” (first step) for 45 minutes. I will address this problem and a few others later in the post, but first lets get to the untethered iOS 5.0.1/5.0 jailbreak for the iPhone 4s and iPad 2 guide!
This should be a very simple jailbreak for you as it doesn’t even require putting your device in DFU mode.
Step 1: Download and extract greenpois0n from the .zip file, then launch greenpois0n.
Download Absinthe v0.3 Mac OS X
Download Absinthe v0.3 Windows
Step 2: Attach your iPhone 4s iPad 2 to your computer, then click “jailbreak”.
Step 3: At this point Greenpois0n will automatically commence its DFU guide.
Step 4: Press “jailbreak” again (if necessary) and let greenpois0n go to work. At this point you should see lines of text scroll on your device’s screen to assure you that something is happening.
Step 5: After a few minutes (usually) greenpois0n will display a “complete” message. At this point, the greenpois0n injection is complete – just wait for your device to reboot automatically.
Step 6: Once your device has finished rebooting, double-check that you have an active internet connection, then locate and press the “loader” icon on your device. This action will download the Cydia app and install it for you.
Step 7: When Cydia has been installed successfully, your device needs to and will automatically reboot one final time.
Step 8: You just did it! Enjoy!
Now I hope at this point everything has went according to plan, if not, have no fear you are at the right place. Keep reading for a list of common problems.
“I have followed your guide and have the “loader icon”, but my phone does not restart when I click on it. And if I restart my phone manually I do not see Cydia”.
This is a common problem I have seen a bunch of people reporting. Going into “network settings” and resetting network/VPN should do the trick.
“All my photos are gone!”
This is happening because you have not successfully completed the jailbreak process, when you do your photos will reappear.
“I can’t get passed: beginning jailbreak, this may take a while”.
This step can take a few minutes or up to an hour depending on how much data you have on your device. If you have a 64gb device all of this is backed up before this step is completed, so just give it some time! If it takes more than an hour you can attempt to restore the device and try it as well.

I wonder why those servers with copyrighted content stay up. I see a lot of “don’t post any US content” but they don’t care at all about content from japan.. . Is it just that Japan doesn’t care much about their copyright laws?. . It is hundreds or maybe even thousands of servers with content from Japan but they only get DMCA warnings for US material or something that got translated by a US company.. . They also often have some content on their website, like images or small archives..

I have a MacBook computer and I want my pictures that are on my computer to be on my Motorola Razr 2 v9. I have a memory card and a memory card adapter. When I put the card in the adapter, the computer recognizes it. And the pictures that I have on my phone can transfer to the computer with no problem. But the pictures on my computer won’t transfer to my phone. All that shows up is a big red “x” on a black screen. Am I doing something wrong? The phone company is AT&T..

I just figured out that my computer has this kind of trojan. I was running pretty much all of the Anti-virus things my computer has. The main one says there is nothing there and my Windows defender says I have two trojans so I’m not sure what to do. I’m thinking of buying or building a new one. . Right now I have intel. Hi there. I was just wondering why its such a big thing these days to have a ridiculous amount of ram in a computer? People tell me that the more Ram you have in your computer the faster your computer will be. I always thought that it was the processor that controls the speed of a computer and not the Ram.. . I had 512MB of Ram in my laptop and I have now changed it to 2Gigs of Ram and I’ve seen no difference in performance what so ever. . Could somebody please explain to me what does Ram does exactly?. I am planning on being a creative writing teacher for my Senior project. The problem is, I can’t think of a grade that kids start creative writing. I would rather deal with younger kids than older ones because in the end I want to give them a book of the classes collected works. Fair use provisions of the copyright law allow for limited copying or distribution of published works without the author’s permission in some cases. Examples of fair use of copyrighted materials include quotation of excerpts in a review or critique, or copying of a small part of a work by a teacher or student to illustrate a lesson.. . I’m curious how creative writing instructors at colleges and universities handle students who write about really disturbing things and who seem potentially dangerous to themselves and others? Are instructors privy to students’ mental health records? Do they let such students get away with violent or disturbing writing in an effort NOT to stir too much trouble? Do you become proactive in trying to help these students? Do you undergo training to deal with problem students? I have Firefox as my main web browser already, but I want my windows live messenger to open all windows on Firefox and not IE7. For example, the email icon on the top left hand corner of wlm. Every time I click on it, it opens up on IE7 which i don’t want, but on Firefox.. how do i remove ie7?.

The problem is, when I save it, it seems to attempt to retrieve the page from its source on the internet, which no longer exists.
