Well the official Lonman06 account for adding GBA ROMs with sendspace was going very well, but someone had to change the password again! So like others have requested, I am going to post the downloaded links, just like I did here for SNES ROMs.
This is how you use the links to get the GBA ROMs on your iPod Touch.
Step1: Create or sign in to your own Sendspace account.
Step2: Click download.
Step3: Click the URL sign. Now input the file download link, which will be located below. And then click next
Step4: That’s it!
Here are the download links:

my folders aren’t showing up after clicking on media. i went to the squiggly line and clicked on media, added a new folder called ROMs, i then added a folder INSIDE of ROMs and named it GBA. that does not work. i tried all of the methods on youtube and this site as well. NES roms worked just fine when I just used some program to move the contents to the ipod touch, but when I tried the same method for gba it did not work. i even put the gba bios where it said insert gba bios file here. var/root/media/roms/gba. still no gba roms found.

3. Download Mobile finder
4. Press the ~ icon at the far right corner
5. Click Media, then click create at the bottom of the screen.
6. Click Folder, you should see a folder name ‘untitled folder’
7. Rename it to ‘ROMs’ remember, the R,O and M is capital while the s isn’t
8. Inside the ROMs folder, create another folder call ‘GBA’
9. Exit mobilefinder
What is this root stuff your talking about?

Nick, try re-downloading the file (bin)into the GBA folder, perhaps?

Mar 01, 2008 @ 13:56:01
if you can’t get the gba bios file downloaded or into the right space add this source: pinguino360.googlepages.com/pggbaroms.xml
and then simply download the bios file from there, it will install it to the right place automatically.
nick

Just add zodttd’s source: http://zodttd.com/repo/
go to games and download gpPShone and MAKE SURE IT SAYS Version 1.5.0 UNDERNEATH =]
When this is installed, installer will tell you there is an update available, but DO NOT install it.
There ya go!

Well first of all you’re gonna need to download MobileFinder from installer.
After that you need to start it up and go to settings.
Set Application Launch to OFF. Then set System File Access to ON. Go to where you put gba_bios.bin and hit File on the bottom bar. Then hit Move on the same bar.
Find the Applications folder and scroll down to gpSPhone.app and select it. Paste the file into there. Let me know if you have an problems.

The Gba emulator refuses to play the roms.
After i open it it says No ROMs found, pls upload to /var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA
After that i went to finder and i realised that i had saved the ROMs to /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/GBA. I changed the settings for finder which allowed me to see /var/root/Media but i couldnt create a folder in /var/root/Media. Can anyone help?

hey jono I got snesphone working last night from a repo s.apfelphone.net I don’t know if you have snes yet but If not I would add that source a.s.a.p!! Plus you don’t have to install bios of anykind… Just go to apfelfun on your installer and install snesphone then install snes roms pack. By the way this is for firmware 1.1.3 or 1.1.4
Jesse
Mar 20, 2008 @ 16:19:26
for some reason there no sound for the snes roms but they all work and they even have mortal kombat 3 on the roms pack( I don’t know who I’m writing to right now because no1 writing back but can some1 PLEASE email me how to get gba roms on firmware 1.1.4)

ahhh YES thanks alot Jesse i got them on just a quicky can i easily download other snes files this easy and where please do you know?
Jesse
Mar 20, 2008 @ 17:03:11
S.apfelphone.net is the repo source after you add that from installer go to apfelphone.net folder in your installer and the snes should be there…I added this source last night so hopefully is still works. I would go to your installer an add this source A.S.A.P by the way when you install the snes roms pack at the end there will be some pop up twice in another language just hit ok…please let me know when you gpsphone working…I’ll let you know when I get mine working that’s if I figure it out first…
Jesse
Mar 20, 2008 @ 17:07:59
Cool I’m glad you got snes working!!! In the future there going to update the snesphone so you can have sound with the games but to answer your question I don’t know how to add ROMs(sorry) I just know how to add them from installer. I did watch a couple of videos on how to ssh them to your iPod but just got dazed and confused

Jesse
Mar 21, 2008 @ 15:15:25
hey RJ I suggest if you add that repo I posted earlier for snes…while it still up
Jesse
Mar 21, 2008 @ 15:24:20
RJ maybe it work for you… Install ” mobile finder” go to ~ (that symbol in right top corner in mobile finder) then there should be 2 folders Libary and Media go inside media you should see a ROMs folder then go into that folder press create (on the bottom) then folder after that you should get a folder called “untitled folder” when you see that highlight it(don’t go inside the folder) press modify and change the names to GBA
Jesse
Mar 21, 2008 @ 15:31:43
my problem is when I go inside ROMs folder and create a new folder there no new folder…so when I exit out to media I’m able to create a new folder…some1 help me!!! Or if you find a repo source please let me know!!!( besides “gbarepo.servegame.com and pinguino36ogooglepages.com/pggbaroms.xml the sources don’t work!!!)

I have a 1.1.1 jail break ipod touch. I have gba emulator installed already. i also have ishare and mobilefinder install. I did what the directions said by creating the folders. Once i did that put one of thoses links so i can download the game. It install, then when i tried to play it, it says: sorry but ipsp requirs a gameboy advance, you hage an incorrect ios image. then i read some of the other people say is to install the gba bios from gba_bios.bin http://www.sendspace.com/file/8okx8s. then i tried to play it again but it still says the same. Does anyone know what to do. Plz Help

Apr 01, 2008 @ 08:21:54
This Is to Lewis. Well when you download the bios bin file you have to download the file to the gba emulator in applications. like click the little”…” symbol untill you com to applications then just download it to there. by the way do all of this while downloading the bios its a bit easier. and if you allready have them. try just deleting them and starting over. just the bios

To the people who seem to be having the problems while they are in ishare and the download just says failing or something like that. I ran into that problem to.. the weird thing is I had went into installer again and downloaded the super mario world GBA thing and it was under ROBOTECH ROMS and like after that my ishare stuff downloaded to my gba emulator. i knew that it had to be that because after i uninstalled it it deleted every gba rom i had. so i downloaded it again and went back to ishare and once again i was able to download all my gbas roms again. if this works for anyone else i suggest not deleting the super mario word GBA thing from the installer. its like the only way mine keeps working. and im like on an old 1.0.2 firmware.

I’ve downloaded the gba_bios.bin file and transferred it to my Touch via Total Commander (SSH isn’t working for me), but for some reason TC will only let me access the “mobile” directory so I dump it into folder there. However, when I try to copy it over to the gpSPhone.app folder with Finder, it doesn’t work…I hit the “Move” button at the bottom of the screen and find gpSPhone.app. When I hit “paste”, the buttons revert to File-Create-Modify-Send-Misc, but the BIOS file doesn’t move at all. This doesn’t work for the “Copy” function either. System File Access is on and App Launch is off, so I have no idea why this isnt working. Argh!

I have a problem. When i try to download the rom to the ROMs-GBA, it doesnt work. So i tryed to download the rom to the folder where are the Media and Library folders. But then when i tryed to copy the rom to the GBA folder, finder didnt detect the roms (it probably doesnt support this type of files). But iam sure that i really downloaded it cause when i press upload, and search through the folders, i can see those files… please help!!!

One problem lots of people have, i did aswell, is that when you go to ishare, get the 6 digit code click next and then home it comes up with library and media. GO INTO MEDIA not library or else the download will fail. From media its roms, gba, gba and there. Also, if a certain game isnt downloading, make sure you havent attempted to download it before otherwise it’ll think you already have the game. To delete the traces, go into finder and delete the file. Also, crash bandicoot dont work very well, the frame rate is glitchy, also tony hawk doesnt work. Hope this helped 😀

Marc – you need to create a folder in ishare that says ROMs, then make another folder called GBA. You also need the GBA bios. It took me about a week to finally get pokemon and all the other games. I went onto youtube and watched all the videos. You NEED the GBA Bios in order to play GBA ROMs. The GBA bios are a 16kb file which allow you to play the games, so make sure you get them.

ok so im completely confused….i downloaded gpSPHONE, mobile finder, and iShare. then im supposed to go to var/root, and then i have library and sites, but i created a “media”folder., then i created a ROMs folder in that, and then a GBA folder in that, and then inside there i have gba_bios.bin (with a white sheet of paper next to it), and a game that i downloaded using iShare….but then when i click on gpSPhone, it says that there were no ROMs found, what do i do to play them?

I finally figured this out. The easiest way to go about it is to google “gba bios” the top link is from file front. download that then use any program (i prefer “iphonebrowser” google it no spaces. pick the 1st or 2nd link. 2nd one is direct to downloads page. pick the 3rd one down that says featured next to it(1.52) install that then open it and plug in via usb (if already plugged then unplug and replug) to see your ipod/iphone root directories. go under applications and find gpSphone.app folder. you will place the gba_bios.bin in this folder. there might be another neccisary soure app to get your iphonebrowser working depending on your version, but i don’t have time just google it. any other program will work as long as you can put the bios file in that folder. as long as your roms are in the right folder: var/mobile/Media/ROMs/GBA for 1.1.3-1.1.4 then it should work fine. just remember the names are case-sensitive when creating the folders. hopefully that helps some of you.

Hello, I downloaded the roms in ishare with no problems, but they don’t appear on my gpSPhone application, I don’t know if this matters but I am using 1.1.1, and I have gpSPhone version 1.8.0, if I have to change my gpSPhone to a specific version can you tell me how to do that? thanks.

Okay, so I finally found out how to make the gba roms appear on the gba application.
Step 1: Go into your mobilefinder or “finder” app.
Step 2: tap on the little apple button at the top right corner.
Step 3: Double tap on ‘Applications’.
Step 4: Then double tap on the folder ‘..’
Step 5: Scroll down and double tap ‘var’
Step 6: Double tap on ‘mobile’, do not double tap on ‘root’ (root is where your GBA folder currently appears and doesn’t work)
Step 7: Double tap on ‘Media’
Step 8: You should see a folder called ROMs, this is where you need to move your downloaded gba roms to.
I hope this helped you out for the people who are having trouble with their roms not appearing on the gba app.
If this helped you can you please e-mail me at stevendonahue9@gmail.com, thank you.
(P.S. – Not all the roms you downloaded from this webpage do not work, but most of them do, so don’t worry)

oh BTW Steven, you need to download mobile finder (search “finder” on cydia) then traverse your way through to where you put the ROM then modify it so it’s permissions are set to 777. Other than that, I’m stumped! To think one little app could cause 260 outcrys for help!
